American Mead Makers Association
With the phenomenal growth in the mead industry over the last several years, more and more meaderies have popped up across the country. With a significant base of active mead makers and business owners, the American Mead Makers Association (AMMA) was founded to help guide the industry in the right direction.
In January 2011, a Facebook page was created, which started the ball rolling. That October, MeadMakers.org was established to start formally bringing the industry together. The Association was formally incorporated on May 1st, 2012 in the State of Washington.
As a group, AMMA can now address some of the major issues facing the growth of the industry. Combining all the voices of the mead makers in America, AMMA can lobby for beneficial legislation and share information and best practices to help the industry as a whole. One of the ways AMMA spreads that information is through American Mead Maker – the AMMA Journal.
Become a member today and help continue the amazing growth of the mead industry to keep the nectar flowing! Visit MeadMakers.org now to sign up.
